Halloween in Orlando doesn't have to mean monsters chasing visitors, haunted houses and kids hiding their faces.
At LEGOLAND Florida, the proposal is practically the opposite.
O Brick or Treat, Halloween park event, came back in 2026 with candy, LEGO characters, construction activities, attractions modified for the season and some important news. And there is a detail that weighs heavily on time to choose: the event is included in the regular ticket from LEGOLAND Florida, without the need to buy a specific ticket to participate.
For families with young children or who like Halloween but don't want intense scares, this puts LEGOLAND in an interesting position on the September and October calendar.
Brick or Treat takes place on 18 selected dates between September 5 and October 31, 2026 — six days longer than in 2025.
But the most interesting change this year is not simply having more dates. LEGOLAND is trying to turn the event into something that is part of the park’s own visit, rather than just spreading candy distribution points along the way.
Brick or Treat Dates 2026
The event takes place on the following days:
The program takes place during the park’s operation. LEGOLAND reports that, on Brick or Treat days, the park runs from 10am to 8pm, while the new Brick or Treat Street operates continuously from 11am to 8pm. Traditional candy stations operate from 2pm to 7pm.
This time extension is important.
On normal days, LEGOLAND usually closes relatively early compared to the big Orlando parks. During Brick or Treat, staying up to the night becomes much more meaningful, especially because some experiences were thought of just after sunset.
Brick or Treat Street is the main novelty of 2026
The biggest novelty of this year is Brick or Treat Street, an interactive area created specifically for the event.
Instead of simply walking between candy distribution points, visitors enter a kind of Halloween neighborhood formed by six real-sized houses inspired by LEGO Monsters.
Among them are:
Wacky Witch 's Cottage;
Wolf Guy's Cabin;
Spider Lady Castle;
Mummy 's Throne Room;
Plant Monster 's Greenhouse;
Scarecrow's Barn.
Children can knock from door to door, meet small challenges, find surprises and earn candy. They also receive LEGO pieces throughout the experience, which can be used to contribute to a giant Halloween collective construction.
This detail changes the dynamics of the traditional trick-or-treat.
In many children's events, the distribution of sweets turns out to be basically a string of queues. Here there is at least one attempt to put a story and an interaction between one point and another.
For those traveling with children who like LEGO, I find this one of the most interesting reasons to choose a Brick or Treat date instead of visiting the park on any September or October day.
Kids can do trick-or-treat by park
The classic “tricks or tricks” also continues.
There are stations distributed across different areas of LEGOLAND where children can collect candy. Seasons run between 2:00 and 7:00 p.m., and the park offers bags for the activity. The distribution of sweets in 2026 has Haribo support.
That means there's no need to carry a specific bag from home.
I would only do one thing differently: I wouldn't start the day thinking about the candy.
The smartest strategy is to take advantage of regular morning attractions when Brick or Treat is not yet focusing so much attention, and leave much of Halloween experiences for the afternoon and evening.
So you don't turn an entire park ticket into a multi-hour candy hunt.
New Halloween experiences spread across LEGOLAND
Brick or Treat 2026 was not restricted to the new theme street.
Other experiments were created or modified for the season.
Potion Mischief Light Trail
Another big news is the Potion Mischief Light Trail.
The experience becomes more meaningful after dark: visitors travel through an illuminated area and find interactive stations where they can create combinations of “potions” that cause light effects around the route.
It is precisely this kind of attraction that makes it interesting to stay in the park until the closing during the event.
LEGO Candy Corn Scavenger Hunt
In DUPLO Valley there is a hunt for the famous candy corns, the typical triangular sweets of American Halloween — here, of course, recreated in LEGO.
It is a simple activity, but it combines very well with smaller children, who are just a large portion of the LEGOLAND public.
Department of Monsterus Vehicles
Another novelty of 2026 is the Department of Monsterus Vehicles, a special version of a driving experience of the park.
The tour receives lighting, fog effects and Halloween theme obstacles.
And that's a good example of how the event works: LEGOLAND doesn't try to turn its children's attractions into something scary. It just puts a layer of Halloween on experiences that already make sense to this audience.
The Dragon and Galacticoaster enter Halloween
Some regular attractions also receive special elements during the event.
According to the information released for 2026, The Dragon and the new Galacticoaster win interventions inspired by Halloween.
The Dragon is given the Castle Candy Caper experience, involving Merlin and the disappearance of the kingdom's sweets.
The presence of the Galacticoaster is particularly interesting because it is one of the great news of LEGOLAND Florida today — so whoever visits in 2026 finds at the same time a new attraction and their first Halloween season.
LEGO Monsters, shows and characters
Those who like to take pictures with characters also find a special program.
During Brick or Treat, several figures appear in the LEGO Monsters collection, including characters such as Wacky Witch, Monster Rocker, Spider Lady, Mummy, Scarecrow and Plant Monster.
There is also thematic entertainment, such as:
Zombie Cheer Crew, with a team of zombie cheerleaders;
V.I.M. Dance Party, commanded by Lord Vampyre;
Jammin' Jacks, with pumpkin-inspired characters;
The Great Monster Chase, film LEGO in 4D;
LEGO construction activities. Programming and schedules can change between event days. The park itself recommends consulting the official LEGOLAND Florida app on the day of the visit to check concert schedules, appearances of characters and queues of attractions.
Monster Skytacular returns on a few October nights
Among the most beautiful experiences of the event is Monster Skytacular, a night show that combines drones, lights, music and effects in the sky.
The show returns on selected October nights, and not necessarily on all Brick or Treat dates.
Here there is an important difference in planning time.
If Monster Skytacular is a priority for your family, I would not simply choose any Brick or Treat date. I would first check the official calendar and set the day from the nights the show is scheduled.
It's just one of those details that can get two people to buy the exact same ticket and leave the park with very different experiences.
Even food gets in the mood of Halloween
There is also a temporary menu sold separately during the event.
For 2026 items such as:
Pumpkin Pie Apple Fries;
Green Machine Monster Loaded Fries;
Broomstick Berry Shake;
Spider Slush;
Hex Wrap.
The traditional Apple Fries of LEGOLAND, for example, earn a Halloween version of Pumpkin Pie ice cream and season complements.
I don't consider gastronomy the reason for choosing the event, but it helps create that feeling that there's really something different going on in the park — especially for those who like to try American seasonal products.
Can you go costumed to Brick or Treat?
Yeah.
Children and adults may wear costumes during the event, but there are rules. LEGOLAND does not allow masks covering their faces completely, fantasies that mimic weapons, loose pieces that may cause problems in attractions or visuals considered excessively frightening, violent or inappropriate for families.
And here comes a very practical question for Brazilians: September and October can still be quite hot in Florida.
A beautiful costume for a night party in Brazil can become a bad idea after a few hours walking under the Florida sun.
I would choose something light, comfortable and that can be partially removed during the day.
Brick or Treat is scary?
And that's just part of the concept.
The event is clearly aimed at families, especially young children and school-age.
Anyone looking for terror, haunted houses and intense scares will find a completely different experience in Halloween Horror Nights from Universal.
They're almost opposite proposals.
The HHN is a separate night event with its own ticket and horror content. Brick or Treat happens within the regular LEGOLAND programming and turns Halloween into a trick with candy, LEGO, lights and characters.
For families with young children, this difference weighs much more than simply asking “which Halloween is better?”.
The best event is the one that matches the child who will be with you.
What's LEGOLAND Florida like, anyway?
And here we come to an important question.
A lot of people know Brick or Treat for Halloween programming, but never considered LEGOLAND in an Orlando script.
The park is located in Winter Haven, Central Florida, approximately an hour south of Orlando's tourist region, depending on the starting point and the traffic.
LEGOLAND Florida has over 50 attractions, including toys, roller coasters, interactive areas and shows, with much of the experience designed thinking about families and children.
And that information is essential before you buy the ticket.
Do not expect a smaller version of Magic Kingdom or Universal Studios.
The proposal is another.
How old does LEGOLAND make the most sense?
LEGOLAND itself places Brick or Treat especially for families with children aged approximately 2-12 years.
In my opinion, that is precisely where the greatest force — and also the greatest limitation — of the park is at stake.
A child who loves LEGO and is still in the play, riding, driving carts and interacting with characters will probably find much more grace in LEGOLAND than a teenager interested mainly in the great roller coasters of Orlando.
That doesn't mean adults can't enjoy it.
It just means that I would analyze the age and interests of children before I took a Disney or Universal day off the screenplay to put LEGOLAND.
With a child in love with LEGO, the decision changes completely.
Top attractions of LEGOLAND Florida
There are a lot of different attractions.
Among the best-known are The Dragon, a roller coaster that begins inside a LEGO castle; Coastersaurus, wooden roller coaster; The Great LEGO Race; and the interactive LEGO NINJAGO The Ride.
Another highlight is Pirate River Quest, boat ride on a pirate-themed adventure.
For minor children there are areas such as DUPLO Valley, with attractions and play spaces developed for this age group.
And there is one attraction that usually attracts a lot of attention from children: the experience of driving small cars, precisely because it is not just sitting in a vehicle following a trail. The idea is to make them have a little driving experience.
Galacticoaster is the great newness of the park today
The great new thing today is the Galacticoaster, a roller coaster located in the LEGO Galaxy area.
The experience allows visitors to create a ship and participate in a personalized space adventure before their own attraction. The minimum height disclosed by the park is 36 inches, approximately 91 cm, although children below 48 inches need to be accompanied by a visitor who meets the rules set by LEGOLAND.
It helps fill an interesting gap in the park: offer something a little more exciting without completely abandoning the children's audience.
MINILAND USA deserves time on the screenplay
Not everything in LEGOLAND needs to be around toys.
MINILAND USA brings together cities, buildings and American scenarios reproduced with millions of LEGO pieces.
It's just one of the areas I'd avoid running through to get to the next attraction.
Part of LEGOLAND's grace is in the details of the buildings, small movements and hidden scenes. Children who really like LEGO can spend considerable time watching these miniatures.
The old Cypress Gardens is still inside the complex.
There is also a historical detail that differentiates LEGOLAND from other Florida parks.
The terrain belonged to the former Cypress Gardens, a tourist attraction inaugurated decades before Disney's own arrival in Florida.
Part of the historical gardens has been preserved and remains accessible within LEGOLAND, including the vegetation and the famous big bengala fig tree of the site.
It's a complete break in rhythm.
You exit colorful attractions and LEGO structures and enter a garden that refers to Florida's history of tourism.
LEGOLAND Water Park also stays in the complex
Within the resort there is also LEGOLAND Water Park, which features attractions such as:
Build-A-Raft Lazy River, where you can add large LEGO pieces to the buoy; LEGO Wave Pool; Joker Soaker; plus toboaguas like Twin Chasers.
But be careful: do not assume that the basic entrance of LEGOLAND automatically gives access to the water park. The type of ticket or pass needs to contemplate this option.
During 2026, Water Park operates in a seasonal calendar and ends its season on November 1.
What about Peppa Pig Theme Park?
Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida is also part of the LEGOLAND Florida Resort and is practically next to LEGOLAND.
But it's a separate park, mainly aimed at preschool children.
Depending on the type of ticket purchased, it is possible to assemble combinations involving LEGOLAND, Water Park, Peppa Pig Theme Park and other resort attractions.
For a family with very small children, I would look at that combination with attention.
For a family with slightly larger children, it would probably devote as much time as possible to LEGOLAND itself, especially during Brick or Treat.
So, is it worth choosing LEGOLAND just during Brick or Treat?
If the trip was to take place between September and October and LEGOLAND was already on the plan, I'd pick a Brick or Treat date.
It's a relatively easy decision because there's no separate ticket to Halloween.
You can still enjoy the normal attractions and receive an additional seasonal schedule.
The question changes when LEGOLAND is not yet on the screenplay and you think you can add it just because of Halloween.
In that case, I would ask three questions:
Does the child really like LEGO?
Is she within an age range that would take a lot of advantage of the park?
Is there room in the script without sacrificing an experience that the family wants more?
If the answers are positive, Brick or Treat creates a pretty strong argument for meeting LEGOLAND at that time.
Especially because it offers something that is not always easy to find on Orlando Halloween: an event thought from the beginning for children to participate, and not just tolerate.
And that, to me, is Brick or Treat's main difference.
