What is the best time to travel to Orlando

When we plan a trip to Orlando, one of the first questions that comes to mind is: what is the best time of year to travel?

But the answer to this question may depend on a number of factors: the climate, the stockpiles and their personal agenda.

So I brought in this post some questions so you can analyze with your family, which is the best time of year for you to visit Orlando.

THE CLAIM IN ORDER

Florida is known to Americans as Sunshine State, that is, the State of the Sun. That's because it makes about 250 sunny days throughout the year, which makes it the world's favorite destination!

It has a subtropical climate, with hot and humid summers and mild winters.

Summer

Summer in Florida takes place between June and September and is marked by very hot and heavy rains. Although the average temperature varies from 23 to 33oC (can easily overcome it!), the thermal sensation can reach 40oC!

So if you travel to Orlando during this period, remember to bring light and comfortable clothes, stay very hydrated – especially on park days – and use and abuse the sunscreen!

By coinciding with American school holidays, not only the theme parks, but the city is usually very crowded, so it is necessary to make good planning so that you can better enjoy the attractions.

And if you have room in your schedule, you can visit the water parks of the region to get that little escape from the heat.

The rains are intense, but fast. So it's always nice to wear a raincoat. Oh, and I highly recommend that you buy your covers at the supermarkets or pharmacies in the city if you want to save a few dollars, as the prices are very crispy within the theme parks!

Remembering that summer is also marked by hurricane season (I spoke about them HERE), which runs from early June to late November, peaking from August to early October.

Winter

Winter takes place between mid-December and March, when temperatures are between 9 and 22oC.

The mornings are usually very cold, but the days get very sunny, the temperature is stable during the day but, with the arrival of dusk, the temperature falls again.

The months of December and January are usually much cooler, so it's nice to bring a nice cold coat if you don't want to bang your teeth, especially if you stay late at the amusement parks.

Winter is considered the driest period in Orlando, so it hardly rains.

Spring

Spring occurs between March and June and temperatures are between 15 and 30oC.

The days are hot, but not as hot as summer and the coolest nights, besides being a period almost without rain.

For many, it is the ideal time to travel to Orlando, as the parks are not as full as in summer and the weather is milder, without those high and uncomfortable temperatures.

Autumn

Autumn goes from September to December and temperatures are around 14 to 29oC. Like spring, the weather is very fresh, with no very high temperatures or cold temperatures.

It's also a good time to visit Orlando since the parks are a little more empty, too.

BATCHING THE PARKS

After knowing all about Orlando's weather throughout the year, you must still be wondering what is the best time to visit the parks.

Well, I'd say there's not a specific period when parks are really empty, especially after the pandemic.

Also because they are always investing in various events and attractions throughout the year precisely to attract even more visitors, such as Halloween parties and the gastronomic events that take place at Epcot, for example.

Considering the seasons, spring and autumn are still the best periods to visit Orlando, since the temperatures are more pleasant, not making so much heat not so cold and not raining too much.

But look... during autumn, some periods may, yes, have fillings, such as the Halloween – with the numerous events held in the city and also in the thematic parks of the region – the Thanksgiving holiday (on Wednesday November) and also the Black Friday (end of November).

So it's worth considering!

During spring, there is still the Spring Break (between March and April) where schools usually give their students a week off. It is a period that many parents take to walk with their children, including the theme parks!

I know that many people can't travel during these periods on account of their children's school, so just relax. Travelling to Orlando is always an unforgettable trip, regardless of the time of year you go!

WHEN TO AVOID GOING TO THE PARKS

Regardless of the time of year you visit the parks, the advice I give is avoid them on American holidays (especially on extended holidays or weekends near the holidays), weekendsin the months of school holiday American (June, July and early August) as well as periods of school recess, such as Spring Break (March and April), Fall Break (October), Thanksgiving Break (November) and Winter Break (just before Christmas ending in early January).

As I mentioned earlier, after the pandemic the volume of visitors increased significantly in Orlando’s theme parks. So there is no specific period of the year in which they are empty.

But with good planning and a little patience it is possible, yes, to have an unforgettable vacation at any time of the year! =)
